Finish one crate run before chasing richer areas

Train on your treadmill, take a crate from an NPC and carry it back to your plot. Wait for appraisal, open the crate, then display the treasure inside. Finish that sequence before heading for distant districts. Bringing a crate home is only part of the job; the treasure you display has the income rate.

Your first goal in Steal From The Rich is a base that earns while you prepare another run. Follow the starter tutorial’s arrows to a nearby target and back home. The early Grandpa area gives you a place to start without having to learn the whole map at once.

Train, inspect the route and take the crate

Start at your base’s treadmill and watch your Speed as you train. Notice how much it increases. A large Speed number tells you less about a return journey than trying that route yourself.

Before picking up a crate, walk back toward the home hub. Find your plot entrance and the turn from the NPC’s street. At the crate, use the displayed Steal interaction. Pickup starts the escape, with a warning to move and a visible Drop control.

Take the route you just checked straight home. Browse shops and explore neighboring areas on another trip. If you keep failing the return, train some more and try the same nearby target. You can then judge what the extra Speed changed, instead of changing your destination after every attempt too.

The crate-stealing guide covers preparation for pickup and the return journey.

Turn the crate into a displayed treasure

Place the crate on your plot. It can show a countdown beside the APPRAISER, so you will not necessarily get its final item as soon as you arrive. Read the timer and come back when it reaches READY.

Use the opening prompt and place the revealed treasure on your plot. Read the placement message: you cannot add an item to someone else’s display. Once it is in place, check its dollar-per-second label and the money balance in your HUD.

Spend on the problem you are actually having

After completing the first loop, look at what is stopping your next run. If bringing a crate home is difficult, check your training and the treadmill upgrade sign. If your plot is full, open My Items and inspect the plot upgrade. Faster training and more display space each help with a different part of the loop.

Open Index after finding new treasures and check the collection rewards. Its Claim All button belongs to that menu; it does not open an appraised crate. Visit the Trail Shop to compare another Speed improvement, and read the current card’s cost and effect before buying.

Use this Steal From The Rich beginner guide to get that first loop working reliably. Head for richer regions once you can handle pickup, appraisal and display separately, and know which step is holding you up.

FAQ

What should I do first?

Train at your treadmill and follow the starter tutorial toward a nearby NPC crate. Check the route home before pickup, then finish appraisal and place the treasure on your plot.

Why has my stolen crate not produced an item yet?

Check the countdown on the placed crate. Appraisal and opening come after the theft. Use the opening prompt when it shows READY.

Where does the first income come from?

Display the revealed treasure on your plot and read its dollar-per-second label. Picking up a crate and displaying its treasure are separate steps.

Which upgrade should I buy first?

Look at what is slowing you down. Check training if you struggle on the return, or plot capacity if you get a full-plot warning. Read the price on the relevant sign.

Do I need a game pass to follow this beginner guide?

The training, theft, appraisal and display sequence uses the gameplay interfaces. Check any paid listing separately in the game-pass guide before buying.
